Winds of Change

The Winds of Change program aims to encourage positive choices that will create a positive change in society.

As members of society, everyone makes choices that then reflect the 'social norm.' Within our own communities, we can each take part in making positive choices that will benefit children, families, and communities for generations to come. Over time, society's values and expectations of children will change to ensure all children live in families and communities that provide them the safe and nurturing experiences they need and deserve to grow up healthy and reach their full potential. While no parent, grandparent, teacher, neighbor, elected official, agency, or individual can single-handedly achieve positive, community-wide change, everyone can do something. Together we can choose to create a prosperous society that understands and genuinely values the well-being of children. As a society, we can work together to prevent child abuse and neglect. Each pinwheel represents a newborn child.

The Winds of Change campaign is run throughout Child Abuse Prevention Month in April.
